WWP 2024 KEYNOTE SPEAKER
SR. NANCY USSELMANN, FSP National Director
Sr Nancy Usselmann, FSP is a Daughter of St Paul (#MediaNuns) and media evangelizer for over 30 years. She is Director of Pauline Media Studies, a Media Literacy Educator, theologian, writer, speaker, film/TV reviewer, and author of A Sacred Look: Becoming Cultural Mystics and a soon-to-be-released book on Media Fasting: Six Weeks to Recharge in Christ. When she’s not seen on a red carpet or film event in Hollywood, she’s working on a doctorate in Ministry from Catholic University of America or cooking up a feast for her community of Sisters.
Sr Nancy will speak on Discipleship in a Culture of “likes” and “follows”. In a world of social influencers and the pressure to be always “on,” Jesus calls us to consider the one thing necessary. That is, to follow him, to set our gaze on him alone who sets us free from the need to be noticed and the incessant distractions of a digital culture. Sr Nancy will guide us in a reflection on the gifts of social media and the pitfalls so we can grow as missionary disciples of Christ.
